Meet Captain (Matthew), Body Toning & Fat Loss Specialist at Apex Training and Performance

Matthew holds a certification from the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) as a Personal Trainer, ensuring his training methods are grounded in evidence-based practices. To further enhance his expertise, he completed Applied Nutrition & Training (ANTS) Levels 1 and 2, equipping him to provide tailored nutritional guidance alongside fitness plans. Recognising the unique challenges women face during different life stages, Matthew specialized in Pre- and Postpartum training, offering safe and effective programs for not just new and expecting mothers, but women holistically.

Before transitioning to the fitness industry, Matthew served as a Captain in the Army for eight years, where he developed a strong understanding of physical resilience and the importance of discipline. At Apex, Matthew’s experience not only gave him firsthand knowledge of various physical demands but a reminder for the team’s appreciation for the diverse needs, goals, and concerns of individuals from all backgrounds.
